There are three events with road closures in Toronto, Ontario, Canada.

Businesses in the affected areas are open to pedestrian traffic but some roads will be closed to motorists.

You are encouraged to take public transit as a greener, faster and more affordable way of getting to your destinations.

Bloorcourt Village Street Festival features:

  • A marketplace of arts & craft vendors from 11am to 7pm
  • A games and ride area all day long
  • Sidewalk sales by participating local businesses throughout the BIA (Business Improvement Area) from Dufferin Street to Montrose Avenue
  • Extended patios at local bars and restaurants until 10pm

Saturday closure:

Bloor Street from Dovercourt Avenue to Shaw Street will be closed in both directions on Saturday, August 13 from 6 a.m. to 11:59 p.m. for this event.

Ossington Avenue, however, will be open to traffic during the event.

Church Street from Alexander Street to Gloucester Street (as shown on the map above) will be closed in both directions on Sunday, August 14 at 8 a.m. until Monday, August 15 at 1 a.m., to accommodate this event.

Wellesley Street will be open during the event.

Weekend events with road closures in Toronto

Three special events this coming weekend will involve road closures. Residents and visitors are encouraged to come out and enjoy the event. Businesses in the affected areas are open to pedestrian traffic but some roads will be closed to motorists.

Festivals and other special events are important to the city, injecting hundreds of millions of dollars annually into Toronto’s economy, and they are enjoyed each year by local residents.

In addition to road closures related to special events, there is a significant amount of road work taking place in the city this summer. People are encouraged to take public transit as a greener, faster and more affordable way of getting to their destinations. Bloorcourt Village Street Festival
Saturday closure:

A series of road closures for this running event will take place in the area bounded by Eastern Avenue to the north, Parliament Street to the west, Commissioners Street to the south and Leslie Street to the east on Sunday, August 14 from 6:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
