A state funeral will be held Friday, October 26 at Hamilton Place:
- Located at 1 Summers Lane near MacNab Street South and Main Street East (adjacent to the Hamilton Convention Centre)

The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario, leads Ontarians in mourning the death of Ontario’s 24th Lieutenant Governor (1985–1991), the Honourable Lincoln Alexander. Here is the itinerary:
- October 21 – Sunday

- The procession will form at Dodsworth and Brown Funeral Home in Hamilton, 15 West Ave. North (corner of King and Wellington)

- The procession will arrive from Hamilton at Dundas St. West and University Avenue where it will be escorted by members of the Governor General’s Horse Guard and the Toronto Police Service’s Mounted Unit

12:30 p.m. (approx.)
- Procession arrives at Queen’s Park, Main Legislative Building
- Mrs. Marni Alexander and members of Mr. Alexander’s family will be greeted at the front steps of the Main Legislative Building by The Honourable Dave Levac, Speaker of the Legislative Assembly, Deborah Deller, Clerk of the Legislative Assembly and The Reverend Allison Barrett
- The Honourable David C. Onley, Lieutenant Governor of Ontario and Premier Dalton McGuinty will greet Mrs. Alexander and family members inside the Main Legislative Building

- Invited guests will pay their respects to Mr. Alexander

- Members of the public are invited to pay their respects to Mr. Alexander in the lobby of the Main Legislative Building

Mr. Alexander will then lie in repose at Hamilton City Hall from Tuesday, October 23 to Thursday October 25:
- The public is invited to pay their respects each day from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Books of condolences will also be available at the Ontario Legislature and at Hamilton City Hall:

Ontarians will have a number of opportunities to honour the life and contributions of the Honourable Lincoln Alexander, Ontario’s 24th Lieutenant Governor.
A state funeral will be held Friday, October 26 at Hamilton Place. Further details on the funeral will be released as they become available.
Mr. Alexander will Lie in State at the Ontario Legislature in the lobby of the Main Legislative Building beginning Sunday, October 21. Members of the public will have their first opportunity to pay their respects in person on Sunday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., and again on Monday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. at the Main Legislative Building.
Mr. Alexander will then lie in repose at Hamilton City Hall from Tuesday, October 23 to Thursday October 25. The public is invited to pay their respects each day from 8 a.m. until 8 p.m.
Books of condolences will also be available at the Ontario Legislature and at Hamilton City Hall. Ontario’s Lieutenant Governor is also hosting an online book of condolences.
