“This exhibition tackles themes of excess and indulgence, presented in a museum-like setting with historical “artifacts” and interactive events. Playing off each others work, the artists volley contemporary subjects of consumption within historical framing. The exhibition space doubles as a venue for a live performance by More Or Les and triples as a video set for the feature song of the exhibition, “Big Sugar”.“
“Museum of Indulgence, a multimedia collaboration by Montreal-based visual artist Shelley Miller and hip hop MC, DJ and producer More or Les, explores stereotypes and tackles themes of excess and indulgence. Dioramas come to life with in-house rap shows, an interactive recording studio and a whole new take on the term “consumer culture”.“
The project kicks off with an opening night performance and reception on Friday, Nov. 11, 2011.
