On December 2, Unilever reported to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration that there may be possible bacterial contamination of the weight loss drink, Slim-Fast, due to a production problem in Covington, Tennesee. Ten million cans of these ready-to-drink products are being recalled by Unilever.
Other Slim-Fast branded products, such as powdered shakes, meal bars or snack bars are not affected by this recall.
Company: Unilever (UL) in Englewood Cliffs, N.J., U.S.
Recalled Products: all Slim-Fast ready-to-drink products in cans
Reason for Recall: possible contamination by Bacillus cereus
Adverse Effects: can cause diarrhea, nausea and vomiting
Consumers who have purchased the possibly contaminated cans must discard them immediately and contact the company at 1-800-896-9479 for a full refund.

This Slim-Fast recall is really going to put a strain on my schedule — drinking this stuff saves me probably an hour per day in food prep time
