Toronto Fire Services in Ontario, Canada, would like to remind residents of Toronto to maintain working smoke alarms and ensure batteries are replaced when you change your clocks forward (in the Spring) or back (in the Fall).
Failure to comply with the Ontario Fire Code smoke alarm requirements could result in a fine of up to $50,000 for individuals or $100,000 for corporations.
