The Jazzology show is airing every Thursday night from 9PM to 10PM on JAZZ.FM91.
Each Jazzology show features a talented Jazz student either from the University of Toronto, York University, Humber College, or Mohawk College.
For Jazzology, the “talented jazz students choose the music and the artists they wish to talk about, as well as some recordings of their own.”
You can listen on JAZZ.FM91 this Thursday as Jazzology host Brad Barker welcomes trombonist Christian Overton from the University of Toronto.
Here is JAZZ.FM91’s brief BIO of Christian Overton:
“Leaving his Sudbury home, Christian accepted a scholarship for jazz performance at Humber College in Toronto where he excelled both in the classroom and on the college performance circuit. He studied with some of the nation’s top jazz musicians including Pat LaBarbera, John Macleod, and Alistair Kay. Christian expanded his instrumental skills into bass trombone, doubling his musical proficiency as a contemporary jazz arranger/composer for combo and big band.”
