City to provide first-time ski and snowboard opportunity to diverse youth
Councillor James Pasternak (Ward 10 York Centre) and City of Toronto staff will join youth from diverse communities for an afternoon of skiing and snowboarding. The Sharing Sports initiative encourages youth who are interested in experiencing a new sport but have not had the opportunity to do so.
Date: Friday, February 18
Time: 11 a.m.
Location: Earl Bales Ski and Snowboard Centre, 4169 Bathurst St.
Registered participants will receive free use of equipment (including skis, poles, snowboards and helmets), free ski or snowboard instruction and a free lift pass for the day. Participants will be available before and after the event launch for media interviews and photos.
The City of Toronto is hosting the event with sponsorship from FLOW 93.5.
