Gardiner Expressway closed overnight this coming weekend for bridge maintenance work
The City of Toronto will be performing bridge work on the Gardiner Expressway on January 15 and 16. In order to undertake the work safely, an overnight closure of the Gardiner Expressway’s eastbound lanes will be required.
Details of the closure:
The eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway will be closed from the Humber River to Jameson Avenue from 11 p.m. on Saturday, January 15 to 9 a.m. on Sunday, January 16 for the bridge work.
Alternative routes available for motorists during this closure include the Queensway and Lake Shore Boulevard.
Whenever possible, the public is encouraged to consider using public transit as a convenient alternative.
