The following video presents BC Consultation on the National Housing Strategy:
“On September 13th and 14th, 2016, housing experts from across B.C. came together to discuss what they’d like to see included in the federal government’s forthcoming National Housing Strategy.
Over 100 stakeholders discussed a range of housing issues affecting British Columbians including:
• Rental Supply
• Affordable Home Ownership
• First Nations Housing
• Serving the Most Vulnerable
• Social Housing
• Sustainable Communities
The input gathered through the facilitated workshops will help to frame British Columbia’s feedback in the development of the new National Housing Strategy.“

The City of Vancouver’s Re:Address Week will feature a series of events designed to improve the dialogue on housing affordability in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
“Vancouver’s housing crisis is impacting people of all ages and neighbourhoods, with young people being hit especially hard. Vancouver is doing everything we can to protect and build affordable homes, using all tools available to ensure the best use of all our housing, but we need the support of senior governments to deepen affordability and support both owners and renters in this tough market. The federal government’s National Housing Strategy is a tremendous opportunity to up the ante on investments in affordable housing.”
Mayor Gregor Robertson
