Up to $3,000 for Student Entrepreneurs
- program provides hands-on business training and mentoring – together with awards of up to $3,000 to help enterprising young people, ages 15-29 to start up and run their own summer business
- is coordinated and delivered at the community level through the government’s Small Business Enterprise Centres by way of business mentoring groups

These groups consist of business advisors and trainers from the local community

The deadline for your application and business plan submission is due May 17, 2013:

To be eligible for the program, applicants must be currently attending and returning to school in the fall, and they must propose a new business:
- If the application is successful, a student will receive an award of up to $1,500 for the start-up costs, and another $1,500 award upon the successful completion of the Summer Company program
- They will also attend a minimum of 12 hours of business training and meet a local business mentoring group for support and advice for their summer business
