- To officially welcome home Canada’s athletes from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London
- A total of 175 Olympic and Paralympic heroes are expected to attend
- The parade’s route will:
- begin at 11:30 a.m. at Bay Street at Albert Street
- travel south on Bay to Wellington Street
- west on Wellington to York Street
- end outside the Air Canada Centre
- The parade will feature:
- 25 vehicles including Chevrolet convertibles and pick-up trucks
- Olympians will be travelling both in cars and on-foot to meet & greet fans along the route
- Bands
- London cabs and an old-school double-decker bus
- (Culminating at Maple Leaf Square – outside the Air Canada Centre):
- a DJ
- Canadian pop-rock band Neverest
- on-stage interviews with athletes
Special $5 TTC Group Day Pass to Travel to the Olympic Heroes Parade Day
- The Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) is offering a special Olympic Heroes Parade Day Pass
- The Pass will be valid for:
- travel from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, September 21
- one adult and up to five youths 19 years of age or under, with the total number of persons not exceeding six
- The pass costs $5, and is available at all TTC Collector Booths

Welcome Olympic heroes home with special TTC pass

On Friday, September 21, an Olympic Heroes Parade will be held in downtown Toronto to officially welcome home Canada’s athletes from the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games in London. A total of 175 Olympic and Paralympic heroes are expected to attend.
The parade will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Bay Street at Albert Street, and travel south on Bay to Wellington Street, west on Wellington to York Street, ending outside the Air Canada Centre.
To support the parade, the TTC is offering a special Olympic Heroes Parade Day Pass. The Pass will be valid for travel from 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, September 21 for one adult and up to five youths 19 years of age or under, with the total number of persons not exceeding six. The pass costs $5, and is available at all TTC Collector Booths.
