- M.L. Catania Co. Ltd. is warning the public not to consume the Catania brand mangoes described below because they may be contaminated with Salmonella Braenderup bacteria:
- The affected product, Daniella brand Mango packed by M. L. Catania Co. Ltd., was sold in a 6-pack plastic clamshell bearing UPC 0 61968 61603 0 and a Pack date
- All Pack dates from 12 JL 19 to 12 AU 21 are affected by this alert
- This product was repacked using Daniella brand mangoes implicated in other recalls
- The original Daniella brand sticker may or may not be present on each individual mango
- This recall is part of an ongoing food safety investigation
- There have been several confirmed illnesses associated with the consumption of Daniella brand mangoes.

The affected Daniella brand Mangoes, product of Mexico, were sold as individual fruit with a sticker bearing PLU# 4959 and other information. These mangoes were sold at various retail stores between July 12 and August 31, 2012. Consumers are advised to contact the retailer to find out if you have the affected mangoes. If you have illness symptoms or any health concerns possibly associated with these mangoes, please contact your family doctor.

L’Agence canadienne d’inspection des aliments (ACIA) et North American Produce Sales avisent la population de ne pas consommer les mangues de marque Daniella décrites ci dessous. En effet, le produit visé pourrait être contaminé par la bactérie Salmonella Braenderup.
Les mangues de marque Daniella visées par la présente mise en garde, un produit du Mexique, ont été vendues à l’unité et sont munies d’un autocollant portant le code PLU 4959 ainsi que d’autres renseignements. Ces mangues ont été vendues chez divers détaillants entre le 12 juillet et le 31 août 2012. Les consommateurs sont priés de communiquer avec leur détaillant pour savoir s’ils ont acheté des mangues contaminées. Si vous avez des symptômes de maladie ou pour tout problème de santé qui pourrait être attribuable aux mangues, veuillez communiquer avec votre médecin.
Les mangues ont été distribuées en Colombie-Britannique, en Alberta, en Saskatchewan, au Manitoba, dans les Territoires du Nord-Ouest, au Nunavut et au Yukon.

Toutes les dates d’emballage allant du 12 JL 19 au 12 AU 21 sont visées par cette mise en garde. Il s’agit d’un produit remballé qui comporte des mangues de marque Daniella visées par d’autres mises en garde.
