The Canadian National Exhibition (CNE) officially opens on August 17, 2012.
Thus, the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) will offer the following special services:
TTC extra service to the CNE
- On all routes heading to the Canadian National Exhibition starting this Friday, August 17
- From the Bloor-Danforth Subway
- 511 Bathurst from Bathurst Station to Exhibition Loop, near Princes’ Gate.
- Streetcars will be running every few minutes.
- 29 Dufferin from Dufferin Station to Dufferin Gate.
- Buses will be running every few minutes.
- 193 Exhibition Rocket from Dundas West Station to Dufferin Gate.
- Express buses will be running non-stop about every 10 minutes.
- 511 Bathurst from Bathurst Station to Exhibition Loop, near Princes’ Gate.
- From the Yonge-University-Spadina Subway
- 509 Harbourfront replacement buses from Union Station to Exhibition Loop, near the Princes’ Gate.
- Streetcar replacement buses will be running every few minutes.
- Board buses at the southwest corner of Bay and Front Streets.
- 509 Harbourfront replacement buses from Union Station to Exhibition Loop, near the Princes’ Gate.
War veterans and a companion ride free on Warriors’ Day at the CNE
- On Saturday, August 18 (the 91st Annual Warriors’ Day at the CNE) Canadian veterans of war and peacekeeping missions can ride the TTC FREE of charge.
- Please note that Canadian war veterans and peacekeepers are required to show their service medals/ribbons to receive free access to TTC buses, streetcars, subway and the Scarborough RT.
- One companion will be allowed to ride for free as well.
