Today the City of Toronto’s Fleet Services Division and Electric Mobility Canada are hosting the 2011 Electric Vehicles Conference and Trade Show (aka EV 2011 VÉ Trade Show) September 26 to 28 at the Allstream Centre.

“Again this year, the general public is invited to learn more about electric cars by visiting the EV 2011 VÉ Trade Show at the Allstream Centre on Princes’ Blvd in Toronto during the evening.
Visitors are welcome to join us between 18:00 and 21:00. You will be asked to register to access the Trade Show FREE of charge during this period.”
The highlights of the 2011 Electric Vehicles Conference and Trade Show are:
- Exhibits various types of
- electric drive vehicles, including the Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiev and a Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid,
- the components used therein as well as
- systems and software programs that support these vehicles.
- You will gain a unique opportunity to
- see products first hand at 23 confirmed exhibitors to date,
- talk to suppliers at the show and
- discuss electric vehicle innovations, infrastructure and policies.
Through Toronto’s Green Fleet Plan, the City has added 117 new green vehicles to its fleet and continues to replace older vehicles with green vehicle technologies.

City of Toronto and Electric Mobility Canada host 2011 Electric Vehicles Conference and Trade Show
The City of Toronto’s Fleet Services Division, in partnership with Electric Mobility Canada, will present the 2011 Electric Vehicles Conference and Trade Show September 26 to 28 at the Allstream Centre. Leading auto manufacturers will showcase groundbreaking electric vehicle technologies and offer exceptional learning opportunities to discuss electric vehicle innovations, infrastructure and policies.
Media are invited to attend a Ride and Drive event on September 26 where they can choose to “ride” and learn about an electric vehicle or “drive” and test drive a vehicle first-hand. On-site, plug-in charged vehicles from which to choose include the Nissan Leaf, Mitsubishi iMiev and a Toyota Prius Plug-in Hybrid.
