Good News for commuters and travellers in Ottawa.
The Baseline Station Tunnel will connect Ottawa’s bus rapid transit and light rail transit systems.
The Baseline Station Tunnel connection project has a total value of $38,000,000; and $12,666,667 of this total value was Federal Funding from the Infrastructure Stimulus Fund (ISF).
“This project involves constructing a tunnel on the west side of the building to connect to Bus Rapid Transit and future Light Rail Transit/Bus Rapid Transit as well as a grade separated overpass at Navaho Drive and College Avenue (College Avenue Overpass), which will carry buses, pedestrians and other vehicles over the future transitway below.”
