On Sunday, September 5th, the NFB (National Film Board of Canada) Mediatheque in Toronto, Ontario provided great fun and enjoyment for both the children and adults in the Animate This workshop. This affordable animation workshop for children ages 6 – 14 was offered at a very low cost of $5 per child and the accompanying adults can participate in the animation workshop for free.
The children used colourful clay as well as their imaginations to create their characters and simple stories. Here is the amazing animated film showcasing the participants’ sweet and loveable creative works in Animate This, a NFB Mediatheque’ s animation workshop (to view the film just click on the scene below and wait about 3 seconds):
In the first weekend of every month and twice daily from December 27th – January 2nd the NFB Mediatheque offers animation workshops for children ages 3-14. And for each month, there is a new animation technique and theme presented in the animation workshop! You will receive a digital copy of your film to be enjoyed with family and friends as a great keepsake.
It was a ‘funtastic’ way for the children to end the summer vacation, just before school starts!
Furthermore, Be a Filmmaker for a Day Contest can be the opportunity for you to win four admissions to the NFB Mediatheque’s fabulous animation workshops, redeemable at any time – adults are always free. Be a Filmmaker for a Day Contest opens Friday, August 27, 2010 and closes Monday, September 27, 2010. One entry per person per day.
